APPOINTMENTS

We operate on an appointment-basis but accommodate walk-ins when necessary, striving to address urgent matters promptly. For urgent needs, please inform reception when making an appointment.   

Appointments can be made by calling, Mont Health Wavell on (07) 3630 4192 or Mont Health Northgate on (07) 3557 0800; or through our online booking system available on our website here.

Standard appointments last 15 mins. For multiple concerns, request a longer appointment when booking.

AFTER HOURS ARRANGEMENTS

When the practice is closed, and you require medical attention, please contact our after-hours deputising service, National Home Doctors on 137 425. This service will forward a report to us following your treatment. If it is a medical emergency, please call 000.

TELEPHONE ACCESS

Our Doctors may be contacted during normal opening hours. Reception staff will relay your request to the Doctor to return your call at his/her earliest convenience. If your matter is urgent, please notify reception staff and you will be transferred to the practice nurse.

PRACTICE BILLING

Mont Health is a private billing practice and payment is required at the time of consultation. Our consultation fees are available from reception or alternatively on our website: www.monthealth.com.au We offer bulk billing service for children under the age of 16 years and pension card holders.

REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS

If you are on a prescribed medication, it is important that you are reviewed regularly, therefore an appointment will be necessary. Please ensure that an appointment is made with your regular doctor prior to your medication running out.

TEST RESULTS

All patients are required to make an appointment to see a Doctor for all results. To ensure strict patient confidentiality and compliance with the National Privacy Act is maintained, pathology and radiology results will not be given over the phone or emailed by our reception staff.

EMAIL ACCESS

Our email address is checked on a regular basis and you can expect a reply within 24-48 hours. If the matter is urgent, we suggest you call the practice for Mont Health Wavell on (07) 3630 4192 or Mont Health Northgate on (07) 3557 0800. Due to privacy and security, we are unable to email any patient information. Therefore, we encourage collection of these items or where practical fax and post will be used.

RECALL AND REMINDER SYSTEM

As part of our commitment to offering quality healthcare, we may issue you with a reminder notice, offering you preventative health service. e.g immunisations, health assessments or skin checks. If you do not wish to be part of this, please discuss this with your doctor.

PATHOLOGY COLLECTION

For your convenience there is an onsite pathology service at our Northgate clinic from 8am to 1pm Monday to Friday.

HOME VISITS

We do not regularly provide a home visit service however it is at doctor’s discretion and availability. If you a regular patient of the practice, you can book a telehealth consultation. TRANSLATING AND INTERPRETING SERVICE

If you require the services of an interpreting service our doctors have access to the TIS and NABS. Please let reception staff know at the time of booking an appointment.

MANAGEMENT OF PATIENT HEALTH INFORMATION

Your medical records are a confidential document. It is a policy of this practice to always maintain security of personal health information and ensure this information is only available to authorised members of staff. Should you require access to your medical information please discuss this with your Doctor or the Practice Manager.

PATIENT FEEDBACK

We always welcome feedback, for any reason, we want to know about it. We take your concerns, suggestions, and complaints seriously. Please write or speak to the Practice Manager or your Doctor about your concerns. Grievances will be dealt promptly.

Patients have the right and are encouraged to participate in decisions about their healthcare.

MANAGEMENT OF PATIENT HEALTH INFORMATION

Our practice has been fully accredited by the Australian General Practice Accreditation Ltd (AGPAL). As part of our quality assurance and accreditation we will invite you to participate in a survey requesting your views of the practice. All surveys are confidential and assist us in improving service delivery.

NO SMOKING

The practice has no smoking policy which includes both building and surrounding grounds
